1. Event Overview

CodeAmble Hackathon (“Event”) is organized by Zen – Zone of Engineering Innovators (“Organizers”). By registering for the event, participants agree to comply with all rules, policies, and decisions made by the organizers. Participation in the event constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility

  • Participation is open to students and professionals aged 16 years or above.
  • Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Each participant may join only one team.
  • Team size must comply with limits defined by organizers.

3. Registration & Payment

  • Registration is confirmed only after successful payment verification.
  • Registration fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
  • Incorrect or misleading information may result in cancellation without refund.
  • Organizers reserve the right to accept or reject any registration.

4. Organizer Rights

The organizers reserve full rights to:

  • Change the mode of the hackathon (Offline / Online / Hybrid).
  • Modify event structure, timelines, or rules when necessary.
  • Take operational decisions required for smooth execution of the event.

5. Venue Modification

  • Organizers reserve the right to change the event venue at any time up to one (1) day before the event.
  • Participants will be notified through official communication channels.
  • Venue changes shall not qualify participants for refunds.

6. Prize Pool & Rewards

  • Prize money, rewards, benefits, or prize distribution structure may be increased, reduced, modified, or restructured at any time by the management based on participation numbers, sponsorship availability, operational requirements, or organizational decisions.
  • The management reserves full rights to change the prize amount whenever deemed necessary, including before or during the event.
  • Final prize distribution shall be determined solely by the organizers.
  • Rewards will be issued only after eligibility and rule compliance verification.

7. Team & Participation Rules

  • Teams must follow all hackathon instructions and deadlines.
  • Submissions must be completed within specified timelines.
  • Late or incomplete submissions may be rejected.

8. Project Guidelines

  • Projects must be primarily developed during the hackathon period unless otherwise permitted.
  • Open-source tools and APIs are allowed with proper attribution.
  • Plagiarism or copied work will result in immediate disqualification.

9. Selection & Evaluation Rounds

  • The hackathon may consist of multiple evaluation rounds.
  • Participants will advance based on performance and evaluation criteria.
  • Eliminated or disqualified participants shall not proceed further or claim continuation.

10. Disqualification

Participants may be disqualified for:

  • Violation of rules or instructions.
  • Plagiarism or unfair practices.
  • Misconduct or disruptive behavior.
  • Attempting fraud or manipulation of results.

Disqualified participants will not continue in further rounds and will not be eligible for prizes, certificates, or refunds.

11. Judges' Decision

All decisions made by judges and organizers are final, binding, and non-negotiable. No appeals or re-evaluation requests will be entertained.

12. Code of Conduct

Participants must maintain respectful and professional behavior throughout the event. Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct will lead to removal from the hackathon.

13. Intellectual Property Rights

Participants retain ownership of their projects. However, participants grant Zen – Zone of Engineering Innovators permission to showcase project details, names, and media content for promotional and educational purposes.

14. Unavoidable Reasons (Force Majeure)

The organizers shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications, postponement, or cancellation of the event due to unavoidable circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Technical failures or system breakdowns
  • Internet or power outages
  • Government regulations or restrictions
  • Natural disasters, emergencies or public health situations
  • Venue-related issues, security or safety concerns

Under such conditions, the organizers reserve full rights to reschedule, modify, convert to online mode, or cancel the event without refund obligations.

15. Media & Promotion Consent

Participants agree that photographs, recordings, screenshots, or media captured during the event may be used by the organizers for promotional, marketing, and documentation purposes.

17. Liability Disclaimer

Zen – Zone of Engineering Innovators shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Loss or damage of personal belongings
  • Travel or accommodation issues
  • Technical problems arising from participant devices
  • Any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation.

18. Final Authority

All matters related to participation, eligibility, evaluation, rewards, and execution of the event shall remain under the sole authority of Zen – Zone of Engineering Innovators.

19. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for CodeAmble Hackathon, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions stated above.
